Mara North Conservancy Vaccination Drive

We partnered with the Kajiado County government to conduct a deworming and vaccination exercise.

Rabies is a fatal zoonotic disease that is primarily spread through dog bites. Kajiado County is home to pastoral communities that rely on dogs to herd their animals. Due to the growing number of wild dogs and a lack of awareness of rabies control, there has been increased reports of rabid dogs attacking humans and animals.

Between October and November 2021, we partnered with the County Government of Kajiado to conduct mass rabies vaccinations and dog deworming.

Our exercise also included vaccinating goats against pneumonia that is highly contagious on a wide scale.
